I like to joke about how toxic our environment is, but the truth is that the toxins in our environment have been shown to cause cancer, birth defects, and a host of other diseases. Today I had the priviledge of meeting my girlfriend Jen as she returned from what turned out to be a fairly scary summit attempt on Mt. Shasta. Even the guides admitted that they had never seen rockfall that bad. But everybody was ok and tonight I was able to learn more about the stories and ideas behind the climb and the Fund.
